An Emerging Powerhouse

The Indian government’s increased focus on the development of rural India is driving the growth of this area. Today, the rural regions contribute to 64% of the total spending in the country. As income level rises, farmers in rural area are also purchasing more than one means of transport; and motorbike sales across rural India now account for almost half of all motorbikes sold in India. Rural India is also experiencing labor shortage which has resulted in the need for improved farm mechanization and greater demand for farm tractors.
