Predicting High Temperature Performance in Motorcycle Engine

Motorcycle engines are high power-density engines operating at high temperatures. As a result, high temperature performance of motorcycle engine oil becomes very important. Several bench tests are commonly used by the industry to predict the high temperature performance such the Thermo-Oxidation Engine Oil Simulation (TEOST) test and the hot tube test (KHT).

In this webinar, Jason Hanthorn, Technology Manager – Consumer Lubricants, will highlight the limitations of some of these widely used bench tests in predicting the high temperature piston cleanliness performance focusing on motorcycle application.
