Predicting High Temperature Performance in Motorcycle Engine
Motorcycle engines are high power-density engines operating at high temperatures. As a result, high temperature performance of motorcycle engine oil becomes very important. Several bench tests are commonly used by the industry to predict the high temperature performance such the Thermo-Oxidation Engine Oil Simulation (TEOST) test and the hot tube test (KHT).
In this webinar, Jason Hanthorn, Technology Manager – Consumer Lubricants, will highlight the limitations of some of these widely used bench tests in predicting the high temperature piston cleanliness performance focusing on motorcycle application.

Lubricants for e-Mobility
As the design of HEV drivetrain hardware evolves, so must the lubrication technology to anticipate this pace. The reason is that in HEVs the hybrid drivetrain hardware may increasingly combine electric motor, friction devices, gearbox, electro-hydraulics and the control unit all of which will be expected to be lubricated by a suitable drivetrain fluid.
