Volkswagen VW50800-50900
VW50800/50900 is a recent addition to the range of active Volkswagen specifications and represents an improvement in fuel economy performance when compared to previous Volkswagen specifications. This is driven by continued pressures on OEMs to improve vehicle fuel efficiency to meet tightening CO2 emissions legislation which will come into force in 2021.
VW50800/50900 oils are premium lower SAPS¹ lubricants designed for use in specific high performance gasoline and light duty diesel engines where advanced aftertreatment systems such as Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPFs) or Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) are used.
VW50800/50900 oils are typically high HTHS (≥ 2.6cP and ≤2.9cP) SAE 0W-20 based on API Group IV base oils.
