Deutz DQC IV-18

Deutz DQC IV-18 is a high performance, high TBN lubricant specification designed for use in high performance engines with steel pistons, closed crankcase ventilation and the highest thermal loads and piston cleanliness requirements. Most commonly this lubricant specification is used in off-highway equipment where advanced aftertreatment systems such as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) are not fitted.

Deutz DQC IV-18 lubricants are typically SAE 10W-40 viscosity grades based on a combination of API Group III & Group II base oils.

Deutz DQC IV-18 is usually grouped with a range of other approvals. The most frequently seen approvals claimed in conjunction with Deutz DQC IV-18 are ACEA E4, API CI-4, MB 228.5, MAN M3277, MTU Type 3, Volvo VDS-3, Mack EO-N, Renault RLD-2, Cummins CES 20077/20078 and Scania LDF-3.
