API CH-4

API CH-4 was introduced in 1998 for high-speed, four-stroke diesel engines without advanced after-treatment emissions systems, designed to meet 1998 exhaust emission standards.

API CH-4 oils are specifically designed for use with diesel fuels with a sulfur content of up to 0.5% wt.

Oils approved for API Service Category CH-4 are superior in performance to, and can be used in place of, API CD, CE, CF-4 and CG-4 oils.
