Nitin Mengi, Lubrizol's vice president for Additives, IMEA region, was a recent guest on the Lubes'N'Greases podcast hosted by Simon Johns. The podcast, titled "Growth for the Additives Business in IMEA" was a wide-ranging discussion that included his insights on the role the additives industry is playing as government regulations impact emissions standards and as manufacturers work to develop vehicles that are more efficient.
"High quality base oils, along with new additive technology, will play an important role in enabling more sustainable performance in modern internal combustion engine powered vehicles throughout the Middle East and around the world," he said.
Mengi, who is based in India and works extensively in the Middle East and Africa, has a unique view into the growth of the economies of those regions and the growth plans of companies like Lubrizol. IMEA is considered a high-growth region for Lubrizol, Mengi said,
"We want to disproportionately grow our business in high-growth regions and more specifically in India at the moment," he said. "We are pretty bullish on this part of the region. I see there is a lot of growth to come.'
