At the 25th ICIS World Base Oils and Lubricants Live, I discussed how understanding the environmental implications of any mode of transportation goes well beyond merely measuring individual vehicle emissions. Developing the most sustainable path forward requires comprehensive analysis of all aspects of a vehicle’s impact including production, usage and end of life. I also provided insights about a wide range of factors that warrant consideration when making sustainability assessments of the vehicles that power our industries and lives.
