European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA)
Founded in 1991, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, ACEA, (Association des Constructeurs Européens de L’Automobile) represents car, van, truck and bus makers (OEMs) based in Europe. ACEA works closely with other industry groups including the European Council for Automotive R&D (EUCAR) and national manufacturers’ associations within Europe, as well as automobile associations around the world.
ACEA’s role is to define and voice common interests, policies and positions of its members, engage in dialogue with other institutions and through its member companies provide technical and regulatory expertise to assist with legislation development and policy setting.
